Dip Brazing

ThermoFusion is an expert provider of aluminum services, including aluminum dip brazing, heat treating (also called solution and aging), welding and cleaning.

Our typical lead time for aluminum dip brazing is 7 to 10 working days.

Aluminum Dip Brazing is an older, proven process where the aluminum components are cleaned to remove oxides, assembled with alloy, fixtured to prevent movement, and then brazed (“dipped”) in a high temperature, liquid salt bath. The salt provides final fluxing of the aluminum, allowing the alloy to flow and create the bonds between components to form one part.

One of the concerns of dip brazing is ensuring all the salt is removed from the part after brazing. ThermoFusion has developed several proprietary cleaning techniques and tests for ensuring there is no salt entrapment in the part, or residual salt left on the part after brazing. And we use industry-standard silver nitrate tests to certify the complete removal of salt prior to returning the part to the customer.

Highlights:
  • Great for brazing multiple joints at one time.
  • A proven process with guaranteed salt removal.
  • In-house experience to ensure the results you want, the first time.
