ThermoFusion is the only facility in Northern California with two working induction heating units. These units are routinely used for both Induction Hardening and Induction Brazing.
Induction heating uses electromagnetic coils to excite the molecular structure of a specific area of a part. The excitement creates heat. The heat can be used for either brazing or spot hardening (the hardening requires a quick and thorough quench after heating.
Make sure to verify that your heat treater is using induction hardening, and not flame hardening to meet the requirements of your prints.
